Description: Every year we send our beloved New Orleans Iced Coffee Imperial Milk Stout to rest in a new type of barrel, and every year we are excited to see what that barrel adds to the character of this big, sticky, roasty monster. For an entire year we have had to watch Eliza slumber in Cognac barrels until it was time to draw it out and add its quintessential blend of coffee, and chicory. We are quite in love with the result, the cognac barrels we selected for this year's blend had an incredible balance in contribution from a deep woody oakiness to a huge flavor of luxardo cherries and chocolate that slowly subside and leave lingering notes of freshly roasted coffee and hints of pipe tobacco on your lips. Perfectly in tune this year's coffee and chicory blend plays marvelously with the cognac without overpowering it and covering up the hard work the barrels did.
