Description: Father Of The Wolf is a viscous prose that takes palates back a thousand years in the form of a Russian Imperial Stout that was aged in Laphroig Scotch barrels with leather straps and Celtic sea salt. Upon pouring this howling beast of a beer the smell of peated Scotch cracks like thunder sending its smoky rhetoric into the atmosphere for all to be warned. Raise your glass up to the sky and take a drink for victory; the smoke that once overwhelmed like a funeral pyre setting sail into the wind is slashed swift and ruthlessly like a broadsword from the leather straps that swam in this ale during its time in the barrel. While the nectar of the gods stripped out all of the oak character from the barrels, we use tannins from the leather to sharpen the edges of this battle axe and balance out the overall heft of this Stout. We threw in just enough Celtic sea salt to initiate the slightest amount of salivation to clean off the palate and taunt its owner to keep guzzling the alcohol-fueled grog without tasting like the waves of the North Sea. As temperatures rise and land is in sight, complexity continues to mature with notes of wrapper grade cigar leaf, dark cocoa, and horse saddle, with hints of campfire cooked bacon and ashes we made from those we sacrificed in the name of the great ruler of Asgard. With no remorse on its mind and driven by the hunger for Valhalla's mighty gates, Father Of The Wolf is our barrel aged Russian Imperial Stout.
