Description: Sometimes keeping things simple is the route a great beer should take, and in the case of Mandarina Tart Saison, our brew team erred on the side of the obvious. We shipped this simple and clean Saison off to our kettle with our house lactobacillus blend to create a bright and tart acidity, then added in an orchard's worth of Mandarina hops that provided a vibrant blast of Mandarin Orange character ripe with citrus notes, as well as an underlying bitterness that jabs at the sourness without overwhelming the palate. Our house Saison yeast dries this beer out to ensure its sessionability, all while providing complimentary lemon and mild white pepper notes. Not ones to be reserved, we added in plenty of juiced Mandarin Orange to accentuate the beautifully obvious. Beginning to end Mandarina Tart Saison is a celebration of its winter harvest namesake.
