Sign of the Wolf | Fort George Brewery

ABV: 13.0%
Style: Barleywine - English
Description: Official Description: This massive, ominous beast of a beer is assertively rich and intense. It aged for six months in Oregon Pinot Noir barrels before being moved into Bull Run Bourbon barrels for another 12 months. Unlike its cousin the American Barleywine, the star of the English Barleywine is the malt, with little to no noticeable hop profile. A wide array of big flavors from date sugar, figs, raisins, plums, caramel, toasted bread, and cinnamon blend into an almost dessert like beer. Sip this one by the fire with some biscuits and a jolly good book.
