Description: Flaked oats are often used in dark beers like our Oatmeal Stout. Oats impart a smoothness or a rounded mouthfeel in the finished beer. This Oatmeal Pale Ale (OPA) was formulated with copious amounts of oats, a small amount of caramel malt, and just enough chocolate malt to create an amber hue to the finished brew. The combined six hop additions cut through the smooth body of this OPA and deliver a combination of pine and sweet candied orange hop aroma and flavor.
