Description: Collaboration brew between Fourpure Brewing in London and Bear Republic in California. Exciting new American hops meet traditional English malts in this big, bold, West Coast IPA. The use of Golden Promise base malt, wheat malt, and a small amount of Caramalt gives this beer a light but flavourful malt character and a generous, lacey head. This beer is aggressively hopped with two brand new American varieties, Lemondrop and an as of yet unnamed experimental variety, "06277." Lemondrop is full of bright lemon citrus flavours, along with notes of mint and honeydew melon. The monstrous 06277 elicits juicy pineapple, ripe mango, spicy citrus (including tangerine and orange), and hints of pine and strawberry. As far as we know we are the first brewery in the UK to brew with these varieties, and only one other brewery in the world has released a beer with 06277 in it outside the collaborators.
