Description: Plague Doctor is a dark barleywine comprised of British pale malt, oats, extra dark crystal malts and a touch of chocolate malt. After fermentation, we rested it in Heaven Hill Bourbon barrels for 18 months before conditioning it on barrel aged coffee beans and a touch of Ceylon Cinnamon. Not as heavy as a stout, and not as sweet as a barleywine, you'll find a great balance in this one. Pronounced bourbon and wood lead the way with nice coffee flavor and subtle, yet present, cinnamon blends right into the barrel, tying it all together.
