Description: Doppelbocks aretraditionally big, malt rich lagers and have a name ending in –ator. Defibrillator is no different. Rich Munich malts are the base of this strong lager and provide the soft toasted malt sweetness. This beer is like liquid bread, hearty and life giving. A very malt forward beer, with moderate hop additions. Traditionally a very sweet beer, our doppelbock is rather modestly sweet with a mildly crisp hop finish for balance. Pours a brilliant deep amber color with a tan head. Defibrillator’s color and sweetness come from a variety of malted barleys; instead of a caramel or toffee sweetness, like our similarly colored Scottish Ale, the aroma and flavor of bock is distinctly malty, which sometimes is described as toasty and slightly bready while invitingly sweet.
