Description: The next of our beers featuring local ingredients is a first for Garage. Biolupulus have been growing some great organic hops for a few years now including the beautiful Lolita that we used in Embryo Pale Ale a couple of years ago. This time we have had the opportunity to brew our first wet hop IPA and we snatched at the chance. As wet hops contain 6-8 times more water than T90 hop pellets you have to use huge quantities. They also oxidise quickly so they must be used as soon as possible. This meant a very early morning trip to pick 75kg of hop cones and transport them back to the brewery where we added them all to the whirlpool filling the brewery with beautiful grassy resin.
