Description: When we first met Nat Rogers from Roger’s Farmstead in Berlin, VT we knew immediately that we wanted to work with him. Not only does Nate raise milking cows but he also grows a variety of malts that include both wheat and oats. We brewed this farmhouse-style ale with a large portion of raw wheat as well as an entire bale of heirloom grass hay from Roger’s Farmstead. It was hopped with VT grown Newport hops and fermented with our house Belgian yeast. We then conditioned the beer for 6 months in a Chardonnay barrel. It has notes of white pepper, nectarines, white wine spritzers, funk and earth.
