Description: Brewed by the Green Dragon Brew Crew on December 15, 2014, then aged for two months in a Rogue whiskey barrel, this Russian Imperial Stout is one special beer. It is a big beer, yet smooth in texture with layers of malt flavors amid a wave of other sensory delights. It begins with dark malt and smooth chocolate flavors followed with a black malt finish accented by a hint of whiskey and the subtle sharpness of oak from the barrel. A slight scent of vanilla in the aroma also complements the extraordinary complexity of Descent Into Darkness.
