Description: Bottled January 2018. Brewed in February of 2017, this started out as a Golden Sour Ale which had been aging in a Syrah wine barrel before refermenting on top of a ridiculous amount of blueberries. This beer pours a very deep purple with a fluffy pink head. The nose is intense blueberry, wine, oak and currants. The flavour is reminiscent of grape juice but without the sweetness. Lots of oak tannins, balanced sourness and a bit of funk to round out the profile. Exceptionally dry and vinous. 8.0% abv.
