Description: BA Griffith is our Imperial Stout w/Trystero Coffee aged for 12 months in bourbon & rye barrels. This year's edition of BA Griffith J. Griffith is our first to feature Rye whiskey barrels as part of the blend. The blend is a combination of Weller Wheated bourbon barrels, Buffalo Trace bourbon barrels, and an amazing Sazerac rye barrel, each one aging last years Griffith brew for 12 months. With coffee of course leading the way, we're also getting some amazing flavors of spirit, fudgy chocolate, with plenty of coffee and caramel up front, and a restrained cookie nuttiness in the background. In the aroma there were notes of wood and a nice spirit intensity.
