Description: Barrel Aaged Brett Double IPA Double Ron Hawaii is our 3rd collaboration with Ron Jeffries of Jolly Pumpkin Artisan Ales our of Dexter, Michigan. This imperial version of Ron Hawaii IPA is brewed with pilsner malt, pale malt, flaked barley and flaked rye. It was heavily hopped with Experimental Hop 438, also known as “Ron Mexico,” and New Zealand Waimea. After initial fermentation in stainless, it was transferred into oak puncheons, where it continued to go through a secondary Brett fermentation for five months. It was then moved back into stainless tanks and dry-hopped with a healthy dose of HBC 438.
