Description: This Scottish Ale pours dark brown, with a persistent, creamy-beige head. It is a malt-forward beer that offers aromas of well-toasted bread & light hints of prune. Hop aroma takes a back seat here, but gently suggests floral characteristics. Much of the flavor is driven by caramel, but is augmented by a rich, toasty malt undercurrent, with very little hop bitterness. The beer finishes dry and grainy. A reasonably approachable beer for these cooler months.
