Description: Rando IPA #14 is another fun installment in the Rando IPA series. We collaborated with the Portland Craft Beer Festival folks to come up with a fun, experimental IPA for the festival. They wanted to brew a very floral IPA, with not too much alcohol and a nice dry, balanced finish. We used more of a Saison base for the malts, with a good amount of wheat and some malted rye to give this beer a good mouthfeel, and a nice dry, spicy finish. We then used some of our favorite floral hops, Chinook and Centennial along with some Australian Ellas to add to the floral, spicy nature of the beer. The result is a dry, spicy, very floral, balanced, easy drinking IPA perfect for the summer.
