Description: On earning his freedom in 1795, James and his fellow freed-convicts were awarded 30 acres of NSW Crown land. But pioneering was not for the faint of heart! And upon seeing this, James cunningly rounded up those less daring souls and purchased their grants for a shilling, swindling some 970 acres of prime land off the Crown on which he grew his hops and fortune. The Swindler Summer Ale pairs a firm malt base with a cunning blend of Calypso and El dorado hops, dry hopped for maximum aroma. Light straw in appearance with a billowy head and tropical notes of pear and watermelon, it’s an ale worth swindling some time for. The Swindler is bursting with aroma, taste and the perfect summer side-kick to a seasonal menu. Pair it with hearty summer salads, lighter barbecue dishes and fresh seafood. Malts: Pale, Wheat and Crystal. Hops: El dorado and Calypso.
