Description: For the first Malt Shop recipe from our new Head Brewer, we decided to delve even deeper into the “Milkshake/Smoothie” IPA realm. The malt bill is comprised of primarily flaked wheat and oats followed by additions of lactose milk sugar. El Dorado, Azacca and Huell Melon hops were used in both the kettle and dry hop. We brought in hundreds of pounds of local blackberries and fresh black currant juice for this particular batch and added it right at the end of fermentation before conditioning on Vanilla Beans. This version displays a huge berry burst in both the flavor profile and aroma with a full body. The tropical and citrus forward hop character accompanies the fruit nicely along with a touch of vanilla in the finish.
