Description: Garlic in beer? WTF is pretty the reaction we get from everyone we mention it to! We we're invited to the Toronto Garlic Festival to create a beer with black garlic in it. We've successfully met the challenge! We decided to go with our Double Chocolate Porter recipe and bring down the ABV and add black garlic during the mash, boil and post fermentation. The result is a very interesting beer to say the least, the sweetness of our chocolate porter brings a lovely balance with the back garlic flavor which is not overpowering but just nicely placed in the profile. If you don't like it, just think about us being the 4th brewery in North America to attempt such a beer, give us a credit for that!
