Description: Hop hash is a highly resinous by-product of the hop pelletising process. This used to be discarded as waste by all hop processors until Atlanta’s Sweetwater Brewery made the intuitive leap that the thick, resinous goop full of delicious hop oils would actually work quite well in a beer. We've exclusively used two new varieties to Australia - Belma hop hash and Idaho 7 hop hash. MALTS: Ale, Munich, Redback and Rye. HOP HASH: Belma and Idaho 7 hop hash from Oregon’s Crosby Farms was used in the whirlpool and in dry-hopping. APPEARANCE: Copper. AROMA: Serious tropical fruit. FLAVOUR: Moderate bitterness, fruity hops and some residual malt sweetness.
