Description: When Narragansett Beer first got its start over 125 years ago, the town of Narragansett, Rhode Island was the ultimate vacation spot. Vacationers traveled from all over the eastern seaboard to spend their summers on the Town Beach. Today, that beach and countless others along the New England coast still serve as summer’s main attraction, a free and easy spot to relax and enjoy the simple pleasure of a cold beer with good friends. Most of us here at ‘Gansett grew up visiting, and still visit the Narragansett Town Beach every Summer. Walking the seawall, getting dinner in The Pier, and waiting in line for a couple of scoops of Nana’s Ice Cream are things we look forward to as the weather begins to break in the Spring. When designing the recipe for Town Beach IPA, we set out to craft the beer that we wanted to sneak onto our favorite beach (which we can’t condone). It’s bright, crisp, packs a light citrus kick from the balance of hops, and it’s sessionable, so you can have a couple and still play volleyball. We brew our Town Beach IPA with Pale, Cara Pils and Wheat malts along with an assortment of four of the finest hops (Pacific Gem, Green Bullet, Nugget, and EKG). It is then dry hopped with Citra at the finish to deliver a well-rounded and balanced hop profile. Ingredients: Pale, Cara Pils, and Wheat Malts, Pacific Gem, Green Bullet, Nugget, EKG, and Citra Hops, Yeast, Water. ABV: 4.7% IBUs: 55
