Description: Old ale aged in a chianti foudre for three years with tart cherries. Dark red-brown with dusty pink head. Complex aroma of rose petals, vanilla, overripe cherries and a hint of strawberry. More cherry follows up in the flavour, complemented by caramelised sugar, bread crust and fruity tartness. Medium bodied and effervescent with mid-palate bitterness. Finish is warming alcohol, lingering acidity and bitter almond.
