Description: Our good friend Brandon from New Image, traveled back home two years ago and created a recipe that combines both our big stout recipes and focused on the combo of dark fruit and chocolate that we both love. Mashed four times and boiled for 26 hours, then aged in Buffalo Trace Bourbon barrels for 21 months. Underworld Barista is New Image’s stout line that focuses on the best parts of coffee, barrel aging and stouts, so we took the most aromatic espresso beans from a local roaster and added them to create an intense, yet smooth barrel aged imperial stout with big notes of vanilla, caramel, brown sugar, cocoa, and dark fruit, finding the balance the sweetness and an approachable bitterness.
