Description: Indulge in this drop dead gorgeous deep ruby/mahogany coloured brew with a small but lasting off-white head. To the nose, scents of charred oak, vanilla, and bourbon are on the forefront as notes of dark fruits such as black cherry and plum, maple syrup, cinnamon, and gooseberries follow. To taste, smooth coffee flavours, dark chocolate, and burnt oak dominate the palate, then fall away to reveal a vanilla and subtle nut flavour. This is a light to medium bodied brew as a result of the bourbon barrel fermentation. It has a clean yet lingering tannin-like profile as it leaves a dry finish. Pair this delectable brew with peppercorn steak, caramelized onions and mushrooms, or a pork roast with root vegetables.
