Description: This Barrel Reserve incorporates gourmet coffee from St. Thomas' local roastery Las Chicas Del Café. Over 12 pounds of Yellow Catuai beans were cracked and infused in our gold medal winning stout! Six litres of dark caramel was then blended in, creating this delectable brew aged in bourbon barrels for two and a half months. The Bourbon Coffee Stout appears dark brown to black with a roasted hazelnut halo topped with a frothy mocha head. Rich and complex notes emanate from the glass including dark Belgian chocolate, fresh espresso, oak, bourbon and maraschino cherries. Oak immediately greets the palate before revealing a velvety blend of dark chocolate and espresso falling to a dry dark cherry finish. Similar to its flavour, the mouthfeel begins medium to full bodied before gently descending into a pleasantly tannic dryness derived from the oak barrels.
