Description: Our head brewer welcomed his first child in February and while his wife was pregnant she wanted a big barrel aged old ale for when she was able to drink again. This old ale provides a beautiful bourbon front which is balanced nicely with the sweetness from the large malt bill. On the nose you will notice a nice why whiskey sweetness with a light boozyness on the back end. On your palate the bourbon and the sweetness provide a nice deep mouthfeel with the bourbon playing in the forefront followed closely by the malt backbone. This is a perfect beer for anyone looking to get a big barrel aged beer without a staggering ABV.
