Description: At first smell, you can tell this Belgian Dubbel was aged in red wine barrels. We aged our Dubbel in 2 Pinot Noir and 2 Cabernet Sauv wine barrels for 3 months. Both barrel types tasted great by themselves, but we liked it even more blended together. The oak from the barrel dries out the finish of the dubbel, having this beer finish like a pinot noir more than a belgian dubbel. This is our biggest barrel release to date, and look forward to more wine barrel aging.
