Description: Our perennially popular Black Currant Stout seems to create very strong bonds with those craft beer drinkers who enjoy it. Starting with copious amounts of crystal and black malts, in a mash that is the largest of any St. Boniface beer, this stout packs a lot of flavor and aroma that isn’t fruity; coffee, baked goods, and chocolate aromas roll off of BCS as it is poured. After fermentation, we add 150 pounds of black currant puree. This gives our stout its signature flavor, of sour fruit, berries, and earthy bitterness. Opaque black color and tan head with lower carbonation round out the experience. We hope you develop a strong bond with Black Currant Stout some cold, snowy evening as well!
