Description: One of our highest-rated beers to date. Expect cherry flavors, fruity esters, notes of sweet bread, burnt sugar flavors with moderate carbonation, and a beautifully boozy finish. A unique fact about this beer: the color of this brew is a direct result of the boil. Our beer engineers boiled this the Barleywine for four hours, boiling off 45 gallons down to about three and a half barrels. During this process, the sugars are condensed and caramelized, creating a rich color. Next, we run the rest of the beer on top of the resulting boil, boiling it for one more hour. Through the artistry of brewing, patience, and precision, we negate any need to add crystal malts and caramel malts, which would typically create caramel flavors and color in the brew.
