Description: Blackwall London Porter is an homage to the beers being brewed in the 19th century's greatest port. Inspired by several period recipes, Blackwall London Porter features copious amounts of brown and amber malt, giving the beer a distinct coffee and toasty flavor and aroma. Layered on top are the wonderful flavors and aromas of Fuggles hops, one of the classic English strains, featuring floral and spicy flavors, and just a hint of tobacco. It was from London's Blackwall Quay that the first Jamestown colonists set sail for the New World, Blackwall Quay is today called Virginia Quay. We brewed this porter in collaboration with Alistair Reece of the Fuggled beer blog.
