Description: Greig McGill has always been a top bloke to us and very supportive from the outset. He assisted with the concept of the West Coast IPA challenge beer for the annual Malthouse Challenge called BlitzGreig (Pun) and for a while we had been thinking of brewing a “fruit salad in a pint glass". Being a purist we only use hops, malt, water and yeast and chatting to Greig about this one day he suggested a hop addition ratio that might fit the bill. On we went and made it. SO, to give him a nod, support his new brewing outfit Brewaucracy and just be a bit squidgy, we figured this beer should be the first of what looks likely to be many collabs to take place. Named after the drummer Topper Haddon, it is a bit of a twist on the past tense of his name as well as a heads up to the Clash: Old Topper's smack habit killed the band and so Toppa's Hadd'n seems like classic cockney rhyming slang for 'Toppa's Had His Chance!'
