Description: This QIPA pours a beautiful orange hue with notes of ruby red grapefruit, thick orange jam, and overripe mangoes. These citrus and tropical aromas ride a balanced wave of dank hoppiness that morphs into a soft, creamy finish. The entire hazy movement was built on Citra. We love it. We find who grows it best. We use it with near reckless abandon. It’s a regular in our Tree House-style offerings. In this series, Evolution of Citra, we charted its utility and magic through increasingly big and saturated styles. For this final installment, we present to you the Quadruple India Pale Ale, brewed and dry-hopped with our finest Citra lots. The NEIPA achieved saturated, bombastic tropical notes without being considered bitter “palate wreckers.” This unique process is essential in taming the beastly QIPA. Beginning with a massive malt base to withstand copious dry hopping, Citra’s juicy profile is expressed to the utmost degree.
