Description: Last year, we teamed up with our friends at Bellwoods and Evil Twin to brew Nanaimo, an imperial stout inspired by the no bake, classic Canadian confection. After a year's rest in bourbon barrels, we've woven an additional thread of decadent complexity into this rich beer. Brewed with graham cracker, coconut, vanilla, chocolate, and lactose, Barrel-Aged Nanaimo presents an opaque, jet black with a dense mocha-tinged head. Like its namesake dessert, layered aromas of dense chocolate fudge, warm campfire s'mores, brown sugar cookie dough, and freshly-shredded sweet coconut drift across the palate. A creamy mouthfeel and well integrated barrel character contribute to a lavish drinking experience.
