Description: This release takes our imperial stout with cold brewed coffee, Night & Day, and pushes the flavor profile to the limit through the use of adjuncts. Madagascar vanilla, cacao nibs from Goodnow Farms and three types of pepper are the features of this recipe, and each accentuates the base beer in their own way. Out of the bottle it pours dark black with a bit of haze. Warming aromas of coffee, brown sugar and spice waft up from the glass. On the palate we find roasty notes of cocoa and mellow vanilla sweetness. The spice from the chilis is fairly intense, but deeply complex and savory. This medium bodied beer is both invigorating and comforting, with layers of flavor to indulge in.
