Description: The Unite Imperial Red Ale was brewed as part of the International Women’s Collaboration Brew Day. On March 8, which was International Women’s Day, over 100 breweries worldwide, brewed a Red Ale. We opted for an Imperial Red Ale with Hibiscus. It has dense layers of toffee malt characters, with berry-like notes from the Bramling Cross and New Zealand Cascade hops, floral notes and a vibrant red hue from the use of hibiscus petals. For the Victorian brew, we were proud to have participants from Red Hill Brewery, Two Row Bar, the Beer Diva, Mountain Goat Beer, Little Creatures Brewing and Two Birds Brewing. The malt used in the brew was kindly donated by Gladfield Malt from New Zealand. The profit from this brew will be donated to the Pink Boots Society, an organisation started to inspire, encourage and empower women beer professionals to advance their careers through education and has over 1800 members worldwide.
