Description: Beta Bits 4 opens with bright notes of ripe grapefruit, candied mangoes, tangerine and a moderate dankness for balance. This New England-style Pale Ale was brewed with 45% white wheat malt and nearly 4 lbs of Mosaic, Amarillo and Columbus hops per barrel. With white wheat malt comprising half of the base malt, we dialed the mouthfeel up significantly compared to our other New England-style hoppy beers, offering an incredibly soft, creamy mouthfeel to balance the huge and complex hop character. But despite the bold flavor and mouthfeel, Beta Bits 4 still maintains excellent drinkability thanks to the restrained bitterness and lower ABV.
