Description: Wettre Bayer is a malt driven dark brown lager with a nice malt sweetness and low bitterness. The bayer has long traditions in Norway, and was in the time before first world war considered the Norwegian folk beer. This is our take on this traditional beer where we used a nice mix of Munic, Pilsner, Caramunic and Carafa malts. For the bittering and aroma hops we used traditional Czech Saaz hops. Bayer is a very versatile beer that goes well with fish, Poultry, beef, cheese and sweet dark deserts. A classic combo is mussels steamed in bayer. Please be aware that this is a lager beer that will benefit for some weeks in the bottle before its start to shine:-)
