Description: WESTERLY Open Fermented Farmhouse Ale, 6% Grains: 90% VA | 100% Regional Estate yeast (West Field) Impressions of: Wildflower, spring blooms, sliced pear, presence of oak, lemon balm Westerly is named after our West Field, where we grow malting grain for our beer and captured the yeast strain used in this beer. Brewed in the fall of 2020, Westerly spent days open fermenting in the coolship above our brewhouse. After months of resting in oak wine barrels, it was bottled and conditioned for months more. This farmhouse ale was given room to explore and time to mature. The result is the delicate story of Virginia and regional grains told in the voice of a yeast unique to our farm.
