BEER RELEASEWidmer Brothers Brewing & Bamboo Sushi Collaborate on Biere de Bambou By Samurai Artist | October 20, 2015 SHARE TWEET SHARE SHARE 0 COMMENTS Biere de Bambou Widmer Brothers Brewing continues with surprising collaborations, this time with Portland’s Bamboo Sushi restaurant on small batch Biere de Bamboo. I am looking forward to a future taco-Mexican lager collabo. Biere de Bamboo is a–you guessed it–biere de garde style with a French strong pale ale inspiration, and you can find it on tap at Bamboo Sushi. It was crafted specifically for Bamboo Sushi and will be on the restaurant’s menu in very limited quantities starting this week. More from the press release: Biere de Bambou is a brilliant orange color and features a flavor profile of bread, ripe melon, strawberries, and hints of spice. A mild but enticing bitterness complements the full flavor maltiness. The beer is strong but not overpowering, making it a perfect pair for many dishes, including tuna sashimi, okonomiyaki, and even spicy food such as Bamboo’s “House on Fire” mackeral. bamboo-sushi1 Bamboo Sushi has long served Widmer Brothers’ beer, and the relationship has grown over the years through a mutual commitment to sustainability; both companies have taken great measures to reduce their impact on the earth. Bamboo Sushi consists of three restaurants in Portland, all built on a legacy of sustainable principles.
